Evomarine was founded in 2017 by two devoted marine technicians, each one specialized in different marine services: Aris Apergis and Stathis Grivas.
However, to begin with, it was Mr. Petros Apergis who first started as the Volvo Penta and Perkins authorized dealer in Corfu in 1969, establishing a high-quality customer servicing support, enriched year after year with experience and in-depth technical knowledge and practice. Mr. Petros, although no longer in active production, he is always the point of reference; an endless resource of experience and creativity.
The responsibility of this heavy inheritance passed by to his son Aris Apergis, who having been apprenticed to his father for at least a decade, undertakes business in 2006. In Corfu, the name Apergis was already synonymous with Volvo Penta’s extraordinary service, so succeeding was inevitably the only choice. He, himself, however, after proper training in Central Volvo Penta services in Athens, got specialized in Volvo electronic equipment as well, widening far more the field of provided services.
Chief engineer
Stathis Grivas
Whilst Aris’s fame and recognition kept growing, he joined his power to that of the chief engineer, Stathis Grivas. He, on the other hand, had started his professional career in a totally different field of activity, that of wheeled vehicles. Since 1988, he had been working in authorized vehicle workshops, while he simultaneously completed his technical studies on internal combustion engine mechanics. Later on, whilst completing his military services as Leopar battle tank engineer, he got the chance to get familiar with MTU motors. It is then when he started being specialized in diesel engines, a fact that prepared his transition to marine engineering. In 2001 he comes to Gouvia Marine and starts his own engineering business. Within the next 10 years, and thanks to his consistency and hardworking discipline, he and his team became one of the most demanded marine engineers.
Our company is equipped with trained staff of more than 15 people.
